Maryland Alcohol Tobacco Commission

NOTICE: Effective January 1, 2021, the Office of the Comptroller of Maryland (COM) is no longer authorized to enforce or regulate the state's laws concerning alcoholic beverages and tobacco products – that authority now rests with the state’s Alcohol and Tobacco Commission. The COM will continue to collect and process alcohol and tobacco taxes and returns. During this period of conversion, information contained on this website is being updated to reflect current law. Please contact the Alcohol and Tobacco Commission at 443-300-6990 for additional information and guidance.

NOTICE: The Comptroller of Maryland will no longer issue Vehicle Identification (VID) letter and a Temporary Maryland Alcohol Public Transportation Permit (PT).
